Is it me or you have worked a bit on the beard? Looks kinda ... better.
Good Job Really well executed this hard scene!
As for James' beard, it's simply a case of using the "Sharpen More" filter in Photoshop. I almost always use it on my models because it really enhances the details of the textures.
Oh interesting I'll try that out. Because I have been heavily using the Blur as you can see in the comics.
I'll try Sharpening the main point of a picture.
